What ages are the lessons for?
The lessons are suitable from age 8, for young people and adults. The Producer Academy is from age 13.
The content is tailored to each student’s level, experience and personal goals.
Do I need experience?
No. No experience is needed for any of our courses. You start at your own level.
What do the lessons cost?
The price and length are listed with every course, on the course overview and on the course page. The Producer Academy includes an official Ableton Live licence.
Where are the lessons held?
The lessons are held at the Centre Céramique in Maastricht (Avenue Céramique 50).
The Producer Academy sometimes meets in our studio at Bankastudios (Bankastraat 3, Maastricht). Heerlen and Sittard follow soon.
Are the lessons one to one or in a group?
DJ for young people (ages 8 to 18) is a group course, with a maximum of 4 young people per group. All other courses are one-to-one lessons, tailored to your level and goals.
Where should I start: DJ lessons or music production?
For young people it is often nice to start with DJ lessons. This gives a good musical foundation and helps you understand structure and sound. Music production is a great next step.

Do I need to buy my own DJ equipment?
No, all the equipment you need is available during the lessons.
Do I need my own laptop for music production?
For Music Production we recommend your own laptop. For the Producer Academy you need your own laptop. Not sure? Get in touch.
How do I enrol myself or my child?
Through the enrolment page or the page of the course. Leave your details: there is no obligation. We contact you personally to discuss your level, lesson times and start date.
Would you rather have a trial lesson first? You can say so in the form.
When can I start?
You can start at any time of the year. After you apply, we contact you personally and plan a start date and lesson times that suit you.
Are there lessons during school holidays and carnival?
No. We follow the school holidays of region Zuid, which covers all of Limburg, and the carnival break. There are no lessons during those weeks.
The weeks off in school year 2026-2027: autumn break 17 to 25 October 2026, Christmas break 19 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, carnival break 6 to 14 February 2027, May break 24 April to 2 May 2027 and summer break 24 July to 5 September 2027.
Do you also provide music outside the lessons?
Yes. Besides lessons, EML provides music for venues, weddings and schools, and mixes and masters artists’ work. Have a look at the services and request a quote.
